The Really Snowy Day
By Ian – Grade 5, Gloucester, MA
White icy frosty snow
swishing, whistling wind
I go outside
I feel the snow
crunching under my feet
Making snowmen
sledding down a hill
I feel all cold inside
When I go in
I smell hot chocolate
in the air
The day is done
all of a sudden
I go to sleep
now Zs are
in the air

Here are some poems written by students in my workshops. I’ll change these poems from time to time. If you’d like to see your poem here, please send it to poetry@maryatkinson.net. Please send only one poem. I’ll try to post as many as I can.
Click on the titles to these poems and they'll magically appear on the other side of the page. Enjoy!
